CZ ARFF Fire Pumps

In the flexible CZ/CZU pumps, Waterous provides ARFF specialists pedestal-mounted, single-stage centrifugal fire pumps with water delivery performances up to 950 GPM @ 260 PSI (3600 L/min. @18 bar) with 5" Victaulic® inlet or (CZU) up to 1500 GPM @ 250 PSI (5700 L/min @ 17 bar) with 6" Victaulic® inlet. With vertically-split cases, the CZ pump offers easy operation and simplified maintenance.

Offering a selection of options to fit the needs of your fire operations, the Waterous CZ and CZU fire pumps easily interface with numerous accessories. An electric, oil-free rotary vane primer is available and can be mounted directly on a Waterous split-shaft pump transmission or separately mounted combined with a Waterous priming valve. Pressure control, corrosion protection and overheat protection systems are also available.

Specifications

High-tensile gray iron (bronze optional), vertically-split casing.
17-4 stainless steel impeller shaft, heat treated, machined and ground to precision.
Oil-splash lubricated, anti-friction deep-groove ball bearings, situated outside the pump casing for accurate alignment.
Fully-enclosed, bronze, double-hubbed, precision-balanced impeller.
Bronze replaceable wear rings to increase pump life and minimize maintenance costs.
5" Victaulic® intake (CZ model) or 6" Victaulic intake (CZU model).
Horizontal or vertical discharge positions, with a 4" ANSI flange for an O-ring seal (CZ model) or 4" Victualic® (CZU model).
Direct drive with 1.97-10 spline for Spicer 3-4-3051 end yoke.
Mechanical seal is standard.

Options and Accessories

Priming System: An electric, oil-free rotary vane primer mounted directly on a Waterous split-shaft pump transmission or separately mounted combined with a Waterous priming valve forms the priming system. A lubrication option allows the use of Prime-Safe lubricant (priming tank is required when the lubrication option is selected).
Pressure Control System: The Waterous Intake Relief Valve system is designed to act as a safety valve by "dumping" excess pressure from the inlet side of the pump. The Discharge Relief Valve provides sensitive pump control to protect firefighters from sudden pressure surges resulting from changes in discharge flows from the pump.
Manifold Drain Valve Drains all points of the pump simultaneously with the operation of a single control.
Corrosion Protection: Replaceable zinc element that is installed directly on the pump intake piping and into the pump waterway. These anodes sacrifice the zinc element to galvanic corrosion.
Discharge Valves: Waterous ball-type discharge valves available in 2.5" and 3.5".
Overheat Protection Manager: The OPM consists of an illuminated warning light on the operator's panel whenever the pump approaches an overheat condition. Optional audible alarm is available.
