The Waterous Intake Relief Valve system is designed to act as a safety valve by "dumping" excess pressure from the inlet side of the pump. The Discharge Relief Valve provides sensitive pump control to protect firefighters from sudden pressure surges resulting from changes in discharge flows from the pump.
Discharge Relief Valve
Designed with a ‘‘built–in–memory’’, this system has a wide continuous range of pressure control from a minimum of 75 to a maximum of 300 psig (5.2 to 20.7 bar) depending upon pump performance characteristics, and may be put in or taken out of operation without disturbing the pressure setting. This lets you leave the system at a pre–set ‘‘ready–to– use’’ pressure setting. The Waterous discharge relief valve system incorporates two separate units, a panel mounted pilot valve which controls the operation of the relief valve proper, and the relief valve which is normally mounted on the pump.
Intake Relief Valve
The Waterous Intake Relief Valve system incorporates two separate units for ultimate flexibility in installation and operation: the pilot valve and the main valve. The pilot valve controls operation of the main valve and can be panel mounted to be easily field adjusted for varying operating conditions, or compartment mounted and preset for a specific pressure. It includes a removable strainer and removable needle valve for easy servicing.Learn More
Priming System: An electric, oil-free rotary vane primer mounted directly on a Waterous split-shaft pump transmission or separately mounted combined with a Waterous priming valve forms the priming system. A lubrication option allows the use of Prime-Safe lubricant (priming tank is required when the lubrication option is selected).Learn More

Galvanic corrosion is huge problem in the water industry. Anytime two different metals are immersed in water and physically or electrically connected a "battery" is formed, as a small amount of current will flow between the two metals. The solution? Cathodic protection. Waterous offers optional corrosion protection with zinc anodes and intake screens. Click to learn more now and save your parts from galvanic corrosion!Learn More
Do you have an operator constantly monitoring your water tank, and concerns of high hydrant pressure?
Free up your operator and stop being concerned with high hydrant pressure with the Waterous Auto Tank Fill System!
Waterous designed this system to solve both of these problems, and it maintains a constant low pressure water supply at the pump intake by automatically filling the water tank and maintaining a water level between 20 and 80%.
The Auto Tank Fill is designed for any of the Waterous electric-actuated ball valves (sold separately).Learn More
