CP-3 Industrial Fire Pumps
The Waterous CP-3 pump offers versatility with a wide range of performance capacity and the advantages of a compact design. The two-stage, series-parallel pump operation similar to that of some larger midship pumps provides maximum performance. Equally effective as the only pump on a mini-pumper, tanker, brush truck, or other special purpose vehicle, the PTO-driven CP-3 can also be used as an auxiliary pump to provide booster service on an apparatus that also has a rated midship pump. The CP-3 delivers hard-hitting pump-and-roll capabilities that extinguish grass or brush fires quickly and efficiently. This series-parallel pump provides maximum flow of 500 GPM @ 150 PSI (1900 L/min. @ 10 bar) and maximum pressures of 800 PSI @ 60 GPM (55 bar @ 227 L/min.).

Options and Accessories
- Primer: Select an electric rotary vane primer for fast, reliable priming.
- Tachometer: Tachometer drive available—operates at one-half input shaft speed.
- Discharge valves: Waterous quarter-turn 2-1/2 inch (6.4 cm) and 3-1/2 inch (8.9 cm) ball type discharge valves. Chrome-plated brass ball and hydraulically-balanced seal assembly are standard.
- Pressure Control System: The Waterous Intake Relief Valve system is designed to act as a safety valve by "dumping" excess pressure from the inlet side of the pump. The Discharge Relief Valve provides sensitive pump control to protect firefighters from sudden pressure surges resulting from changes in discharge flows from the pump.
- Drain Valve: Manifold drain valve simultaneously drains all points of the pump with the operation of a single control.
- Overheat Protection Manager: The OPM consists of an illuminated warning light on the operator's panel whenever the pump approaches an overheat condition. Optional audible alarm is available.
- Corrosion Protection: Waterous offers replaceable zinc elements to provide corrosion protection. Without this protection, galvanic corrosion may damage the iron pump body and fittings.
- Zinc Intake Screens: These are installed directly in the intake fitting openings and also provide protection from debris in the water supply.
- Zinc Anodes: These are directly on the pump intake pipping and consist of two anodes that protrude into the pump waterway.
