CP-4 Industrial Fire Pumps

A lightweight four-stage centrifugal pump that delivers 60 GPM at 1000 PSI to produce high-pressure fog, Waterous' CP-4 ultra high-pressure system can suppress fires quickly while the pumper is either in motion or stationary. The diverse features of the PTO-driven CP-4 pump make it ideal where high-pressure pump performance is required.

The Waterous CP-4 pumps come with a variety of options to fit the needs of your fire operations and easily interface with numerous accessories. A an electric rotary vane primer for fast, reliable priming is available, as is a single-control manifold drain valve, corrosion protection, zinc intake screens and zinc anodes. Castings options come in cast-iron gray or bronze.

Specifications

Two-piece, horizontally-split, high-tensile, close-grained, gray iron casings (bronze optional).
Ni-resist; special "stepped" design to reduce internal leakage and increase efficiency. Replaceable by undersize rings to prolong pump life and minimize maintenance costs.
Bronze, hydraulically and mechanically balanced impellers, one integrally cast pair for the first and second stages and another for the third and fourth stages. Impeller hubs are "stepped" to minimize internal bypass.
Stuffing boxes with adjustable braided flexible graphite (BFG) packing.
Rotation available with either clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation of input shaft.
Bearing are all oil or grease lubricated, anti-friction (ball type), located outside the pump casing to accurately align and support the impeller shaft assembly. Ball bearings are deep-groove type designed to carry both radial and axial thrust.

Options and Accessories

Primer: Select an electric rotary vane primer for fast, reliable priming.
Drain valve: Manifold drain valve simultaneously drains all points of the pump by operating a single control.
Overheat Protection Manager: The OPM consists of an illuminated warning light on the operator's panel whenever the pump approaches an overheat condition. Optional audible alarm is available.
Corrosion protection: Waterous offers replaceable zinc elements to provide corrosion protection. Without this protection, galvanic corrosion may damage the iron pump body and fittings.
Zinc intake screens: These are installed directly in the intake fitting openings and also provide protection from debris in the water supply.
Zinc anodes: These are installed directly on the pump intake piping and consist of two anodes that protrude into the pump waterway.
