Mobile Demonstration Units (MDU)
Waterous’ new Mobile Demonstration Unit (MDU) Program is now up and running. Our three MDUs provide compressed air foam system (CAFS) demonstrations as well as fire pump maintenance and operation instruction course opportunities. Each unit is responsible for covering an area within the United States and Canada: Western, Central and Eastern.
CAFS Training Programs
Our CAFS training program covers everything you need to know about your compressed air foam systems. Classes are taught by experienced firefighters, expert CAFS users and certified service instructors. Waterous instructors provide delivery instruction to fire pump operators, diagnosis and repair instruction to technicians, and installation and retrofit instruction to apparatus manufacturers. 2010 International Class A Foam and CAFS Academy - February 18-20, Glendale, Arizona
Sponsored by Waterous, Elkhart Brass and Phos-Check/ICL-PPLP this three-day academy includes round-table discussions and hands-on training exercises along four training tracks: Basic (new to foam), Advanced (users of foam), Administrators/Chiefs and Mechanics. Training consists of instruction on foam properties, basic proportioner theory, foam concentrates, CAFS theory, maintenance, retrofits, calibration, troubleshooting, specifying foam or CAFS and live burn training.
