Vehicle Mounted: Model CSU
Bigger and Badder.

Our Model CSU Midship Mounted pump gives you the same big performance as the Model CS with one exception—you get more power. The CSU is equipped with a single impeller and only requires the adjustment of the hand throttle to achieve normal performance requirements, however this bad boy delivers a bigger punch with a performance rating of 2250 GPM (8550 L/min). CSU pumps come with a variety of transmissions to fit your needs. The CSU also comes with an industry exclusive five-year warranty.

  Specifications

  • Single-stage pump rated at 1500, 1750, 2000 and 2250 GPM @ 150 PSI (5700, 6625, 7570 and 8550 L/min @ 10.3 bar).
  • High-tensile gray iron (bronze optional) two-piece, horizontally-split pump casing.
  • Bronze flame-plated precision-balanced impellers with flame-plated hubs.
  • Adjustable braided flexible graphite (BFG) is standard; self-adjusting, spring-loaded mechanical seals optional.
  • Two-piece, stainless steel, heat treated, machined and ground impeller shaft allows separation of the pump from the transmission for ease of service.
  • Flinger rings are mounted on the impeller to keep debris out of bearings.
  • Oil-splash lubricated, deep-groove ball bearings located outside the pump casing.
  • Lip-type oil seal for lubrication and extra bearing protection from the elements.
  • Bronze, reverse-flow, replaceable wear rings to increase pump life and minimize maintenance costs.

  Options and Accessories

  • Priming System: An electric, oil-free rotary vane primer mounted directly on a Waterous split-shaft pump transmission or separately mounted combined with a Waterous priming valve forms the priming system. A lubrication option allows the use of Prime-Safe lubricant (priming tank is required when the lubrication option is selected).
  • Pressure Control System: The Waterous Intake Relief Valve system is designed to act as a safety valve by "dumping" excess pressure from the inlet side of the pump. The Discharge Relief Valve provides sensitive pump control to protect firefighters from sudden pressure surges resulting from changes in discharge flows from the pump.
  • Manifold Drain Valve: Drains all points of the pump simultaneously with the operation of a single control.
  • Corrosion Protection: Replaceable zinc element that is installed directly on the pump intake piping and into the pump waterway. These anodes sacrifice the zinc element to galvanic corrosion.
  • Discharge Valves: Your choice of the trusted Waterous 1⁄4 turn 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch rack and sector push-pull, worm gear and electric discharge valves. All come standard with chrome-plated brass ball and hydraulically balanced seal assembly.
  • Overheat Protection Manager: The OPM consists of an illuminated warning light on the operator's panel whenever the pump approaches an overheat condition.
  • Foam Manager: Consisting of a 500 or 1000 GPM foam manifold and foam proportioner.
  • Tank to Pump Valve: A full-flow 3.5-inch diameter ball valve, which is attached directly to the pump.
  • Tachometer: Tachometer drive standard and operates at 1/2 input shaft speed.
  • Extra Pressure Stage: The Waterous extra-pressure stage provides more pressure when you need it with the use of a single control.
  • Power Shift: Pneumatic shift allows operator to shift from ROAD to PUMP position by actuating a valve.
