S100: Single-Stage Vehicle-mounted Fire Pump

The S100 Series fire pump provides versatility in a smaller package. With a capacity of 2000 GPM (7570 L/min.) and end-suction capabilities, the S100 features a dynamic yet compact design, incorporating a ductile iron body and can be midship mounted with an aluminum transmission or rear mounted with an aluminum bearing housing. If you don’t want to lose power and versatility by going with a smaller pump, try the S100.

Low Maintenance

The power behind a S100 fire pump can be repaired and back in service faster than apparatus equipped with other brands of vehicle-mounted pumps. Backed by a 5-year warranty, and options for technician education courses, the S100 fire pump supplies complete confidence for operators and maintenance technicians alike.

Options and Accessories

S100 pumps come with a variety of options to fit the needs of your fire department including discharge relief valves and intake relief valves. If properly equipped, S100 pumps can also pump foam and compressed air foam solution.

Specifications
  • Ductile iron pump casing with double stripping edge volute to minimize radial forces at all flow rates.
  • 8 inch Victaulic® intake.
  • Discharge options include the following: a 5 inch ANSI discharge flange (standard), the optional Waterous 21st Century Manifold (a 4 inch end flanged manifold with eight 2.5 inch side pads), or a 5 inch ANSI to 4 inch ANSI adapter (optional).
  • Bronze precision-balanced impeller.
  • Stainless steel impeller shaft, heat-treated, machined and ground to precision.
  • V-ring on shaft to keep debris out of bearings.
  • Bronze, reverse-flow, replaceable wear rings to increase pump life and minimize maintenance costs.
  • Single-lip, spring-loaded design for lubrication seal and extra bearing protection from the elements.
  • Maintenance-free, self-adjusting shaft seal.
  • High-strength aluminum, three-piece, horizontally-split transmission housing (aluminum bearing housing on S100D).
  • Drive and driven sprockets forged from hardened, carburized steel.

Options and Accessories
  • Priming System: An electric, oil-free rotary vane primer mounted directly on a Waterous split-shaft pump transmission or separately mounted combined with a Waterous priming valve forms the priming system. A lubrication option allows the use of Prime-Safe lubricant (priming tank is required when the lubrication option is selected).
  • Pressure Control System: The Waterous Intake Relief Valve system is designed to act as a safety valve by "dumping" excess pressure from the inlet side of the pump. The Discharge Relief Valve provides sensitive pump control to protect firefighters from sudden pressure surges resulting from changes in discharge flows from the pump.
  • Manifold Drain Valve drains all points of the pump simultaneously with the operation of a single control.
  • Corrosion Protection: Replaceable zinc element that is installed directly on the pump intake piping and into the pump waterway. These anodes sacrifice the zinc element to galvanic corrosion.
  • Discharge Valves: Your choice of the trusted Waterous 1⁄4 turn 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch rack and sector push-pull, worm gear and electric discharge valves. All come standard with chrome-plated brass ball and hydraulically balanced seal assembly.
  • Overheat Protection Manager: The OPM consists of an illuminated warning light on the operator's panel whenever the pump approaches an overheat condition. Optional audible alarm is available.
  • Foam Manager: Consisting of a 500 or 1000 GPM foam manifold and foam proportioner.
  • Power Shift (S100 with C20 Transmission): Pneumatic shift allows operator to shift from ROAD to PUMP position by actuating a valve.
  • Electronic Tachometer Sensor (S100 with C20 Transmission): Monitors driveline rotational speed.
  • Waterous 21st Century Manifold: Designed to be mounted on the S100 discharge flange and can be oriented for top or side-mount control panels.
  • Total Protection Package (TPP-5): The Total Protection Package is a comprehensive warranty that increases your standard warranty to include labor expenses to dismantle, remove and reinstall covered products or parts.
