The effectiveness of ball-type valves depends greatly upon the tightness of its seal, as a leaking seal allows air to enter the pump during priming, or water to escape when operating. Also, other abrasive materials in the water being pumped can score and roughen the surfaces of the valve parts. The design of the ball and seal have the greatest effect on the life and performance of the discharge valve.
Waterous has developed the ENDURA™ Valve to incorporate all of the ruggedness of our current valve plus additional features that make it easier to install and easier to perform maintenance. With the patent pending ENDURA™ Seal that provides a positive seal on the valve ball, ENDURA™ Valves also have the following features:
- Available in 2″ and 2-1/2″ sizes
- Chromium-plated brass ball valve
- 4-Bolt pattern allows a wide range of adapters for various connections
- 8-Position Handle
- Floating seal assembly with wave spring
